ZMC Group Recalls Multiple Light Up Toys Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Battery Ingestion; Violate Mandatory Standard for Toys

ZMC Group is recalling several battery-operated light-up toys because children can easily access the button cell (coin) batteries inside. If a child swallows one of these batteries, it can cause internal chemical burns or death.

What is recalled
Various ZMC Group battery-operated light-up toys, all batch numbers included: • 19.4" Assorted Colors Light Up Stick, item #885S-01/02 • Light Up Halloween Wands, item #777-HW • Light Up Halo Flower Headband, item #G06-2L • Light Up Devil Horns Headband, item #G03-C • Light Up Polka Dot Bow Headband, item #G01-1 • LED Light Up Flying Disc, (no separate item number listed) • UFO Lite-Up Maraca, item #668-23 • Light Up Yo-Yo, item #9987B • Cardpack Flashing Whistle Necklace, item #ZS166 The item number, distributor information, place of manufacture, production date, and batch number appear on each product's packaging label.

You're affected if you own any of the toys listed above. Check the packaging label for the item number (e.g., 885S-01/02, 777-HW, G06-2L, G03-C, G01-1, 668-23, 9987B, or ZS166). All batch numbers are included in this recall, there is no "safe" batch.
What to do right now
Stop using these toys immediately and keep them away from children. To get a full refund, contact ZMC Group, then follow their instructions to destroy the product (remove the batteries, break each piece in half, or mark it "RECALLED" or with a large "X" in permanent marker) and email a photo of the destroyed or marked pieces to recallzmctoy@gmail.com. Dispose of the button cell batteries through your local hazardous-waste recycling program.
