Voomf Play Yard and Crib Mattress Recall
Play Yard and Crib Mattresses Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Fire Hazards; Violate Mandatory Standards for Mattresses; Sold on Amazon by Voomf
Updated August 6, 2026
Voomf play yard mattresses and crib mattresses have been recalled because they can create deadly gaps that trap a baby's face, causing suffocation, and the full-sized crib mattresses also fail federal flammability standards, posing a serious fire risk.
Is the Voomf Play Yard and Crib Mattresses recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on August 6, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
Voomf-branded play yard mattresses and full-sized crib mattresses sold on Amazon. Play yard mattresses: white, tri-fold, aftermarket style, with a neutral-colored letter or balloon print, approximately 38 inches by 26 inches by 3 inches, with a label inside the mattress cover reading "Product Model: BYL001". Full-sized crib mattresses: white with an aquamarine band and a zipper along the sides, approximately 25 inches by 27 inches by 5.5 inches, with a label on the side reading "voomf".
Am I affected
You are affected if you own a Voomf play yard mattress (model BYL001, white with a letter or balloon print, about 38 x 26 x 3 inches) or a Voomf full-sized crib mattress (white with an aquamarine band and side zipper, about 25 x 27 x 5.5 inches). Check the label inside or on the side of the mattress for the "BYL001" model number or the "voomf" brand name to confirm.
What to do right now
Stop using these mattresses immediately. Write "Recalled" on the mattress in permanent marker, then destroy it: cut the play yard mattress in half, or cut the full-sized mattress cover diagonally across the entire mattress using scissors. Take a photo of the destroyed mattress and email it to voomfrecall@outlook.com to receive a full refund. Dispose of the remains following your local or state disposal rules.
Contact: Voomf by email at voomfrecall@outlook.com.
The hazard
The recalled mattresses violate the mandatory safety standard for crib mattresses because the mattresses may not adequately fit certain play yards, posing a deadly entrapment hazard. Babies can suffocate in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and side walls of a product, especially when the infant's face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress, preventing the infant from breathing. Furthermore, the full-sized crib mattresses violate the mandatory flammability standard for mattress sets, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire.
