The third row center seat belt anchor in certain 2024-2025 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles may be installed at an incorrect angle, preventing it from properly restraining a passenger in a crash. Toyota will reinstall the anchor for free.

2024-2025 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles with a third row center seat belt roof anchor installed at an incorrect angle.

You are affected if you own a 2024 or 2025 Toyota Highlander or Highlander Hybrid. Check your vehicle year and model against your registration or vehicle door jamb label.
What to do right now
Contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to schedule a free appointment to have the seat belt anchor reinstalled with a new bolt. Reference recall number 25TA16. If you received a notification letter in the mail (mailed January 27, 2026), follow the instructions provided.
