Thermos Recalls 8.2 Million Stainless King Food Jars and Bottles Due to Serious Impact Injury and Laceration Hazards

Thermos Stainless King Food Jars and Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles can eject their stoppers forcefully when opened, risking serious facial or hand injuries and cuts. The affected containers lack a pressure relief valve in the stopper.

What is recalled
Thermos Stainless King Food Jars model SK3000 (16-oz) and SK3020 (24-oz) manufactured before July 2023, and Thermos Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles model SK3010 (40-oz). Products sold in various colors and carry the Thermos trademark on the side. Model numbers are printed on the bottom.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a Thermos Stainless King Food Jar with model number SK3000 or SK3020 made before July 2023, or a Thermos Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottle with model number SK3010. Check the bottom of your container for the model number.
What to do right now
Stop using the container immediately. For SK3000 and SK3020 jars, contact Thermos for a free replacement stopper, then throw away the original stopper and send a photo of it to Thermos. For SK3010 bottles, return the bottle to Thermos using a prepaid shipping label. The hazard
If perishable food or beverages are stored in the container for an extended period of time, the stopper can forcefully eject when opened, which can result in serious impact injury and laceration hazards to the consumer.
