Certain 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles have a wiring defect that prevents the reverse lights from illuminating when backing up. This reduces visibility and may not alert pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

You're affected if you own a 2026 Tesla Model Y and your reverse lights do not illuminate when you shift into reverse, or if you received a Tesla owner notification letter mailed on November 26, 2025 (recall SB-25-17-011).

Contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 to schedule a free repair appointment. Tesla Service will replace the reverse lights and reverse facia harness at no cost.
