Certain 2019-2026 Subaru Ascent, 2025-2026 Forester and Forester Hybrid, and 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles have an incorrect weight rating label. This could lead to overloading the vehicle and increasing crash risk.

What is recalled
2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, 2025-2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid and Forester, and 2019-2026 Subaru Ascent vehicles with incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the certification label.

You're affected if you own a 2019-2026 Subaru Ascent, a 2025-2026 Subaru Forester or Forester Hybrid, or a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid. Check your vehicle's certification label for the correct GAWR.
What to do right now
Subaru will mail you a corrected certification label free of charge starting August 25, 2026. You can install it yourself or have a Subaru dealer install it for free. Call Subaru customer service at 1-844-373-6614 with recall number WRH-26 if you have questions.
