ShymeryDirect LED Lights Recall: Coin Battery Hazard
ShymeryDirect LED Lights Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Battery Ingestion; Violates Mandatory Standard for Consumer Products with Coin Batteries
Updated April 9, 2026
ShymeryDirect LED lights are being recalled because young children can easily access the built-in CR2032 lithium coin batteries. If swallowed, these batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death.
Is the ShymeryDirect LED Lights recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on April 9, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
ShymeryDirect branded LED lights that emit warm white light. Each pack contains 24 lights (about 1 inch in diameter), each loaded with two CR2032 lithium coin batteries. The packaging is marked with code X0037GYJYX.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own ShymeryDirect LED lights with the code X0037GYJYX printed on the packaging. Check the package for that code and confirm the lights are the warm-white, 1-inch diameter style with CR2032 coin batteries inside.
What to do right now
Stop using these lights immediately and move them somewhere children cannot reach. Then disassemble the lights and submerge all components in water. Email a photo of the submerged product to Shymeryrecall0402@outlook.com to receive a full refund. Dispose of the coin batteries following your local hazardous-waste or recycling procedures, do not put them in regular trash.
Contact: ShymeryDirect by email at Shymeryrecall0402@outlook.com.
The hazard
The recalled LED lights violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because they contain lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the LED lights do not have the warnings required by Reese's Law. If coin batteries are swallowed, they can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
