Petzl America Recalls SIMBA and SWAN EASYFIT Harnesses Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Fall Hazard

Petzl is recalling four models of climbing and adventure-park harnesses, SIMBA CLIMBING, SIMBA PARK, SWAN EASYFIT STEEL, and SWAN EASYFIT STAINLESS, because missing rivets in the FAST LT PIN-LOCK buckle can cause the buckle to open unexpectedly, creating a serious risk of a fatal fall.

What is recalled
Four Petzl harness models, sold individually and in packs of five, all in gray/orange colorways. Serial numbers are printed on a plastic card on the harness interior. • SIMBA CLIMBING, serial number C065BA00 (single) / C065BA01 (pack of 5); designed for children 110 to 160 cm tall • SIMBA PARK, serial number C065AA00 (single) / C065AA01 (pack of 5); designed for children 110 to 160 cm tall • SWAN EASYFIT STEEL, serial number C062AA00 (single) / C062AA01 (pack of 5); designed for adventure parks • SWAN EASYFIT STAINLESS, serial number C062BA00 (single) / C062BA01 (pack of 5); designed for adventure parks
Am I affected
You're affected if you own or operate any Petzl harness with one of these serial numbers printed on the plastic card inside the harness: C065BA00, C065BA01 (SIMBA CLIMBING), C065AA00, C065AA01 (SIMBA PARK), C062AA00, C062AA01 (SWAN EASYFIT STEEL), or C062BA00, C062BA01 (SWAN EASYFIT STAINLESS). Check the interior label now, if the number matches any of the above, stop using it immediately.
