Northern Tool + Equipment Recalls Hot Water Pressure Washers Due to Fire Hazard

Northern Tool + Equipment has recalled three models of NorthStar hot water pressure washers because a faulty fan wheel can cause the burner to malfunction, producing smoke or sudden bursts of flames during use. This is a serious fire hazard.

What is recalled
Three models of NorthStar pressure washers sold by Northern Tool + Equipment: • NorthStar Gas Wet Steam and Hot Water Pressure Washer, item number 157310 • NorthStar Gas Hot Water Commercial Pressure Washer, item number 157594 • NorthStar Trailer-Mounted Hot Water Commercial Pressure Washer, item number 157595 Only units with BOTH of the following codes are included: 1. A MONTH/YEAR serial number code between 0125 (January 2025) and 0825 (August 2025), printed on the label on the engine. 2. A WEEK/YEAR burner date code between 0125 and 2625 (weeks 1 to 26 of 2025), printed on a separate burner label (location varies by model: under the battery box on item 157310; under the ball valve assembly on item 157594; under the NorthStar logo on item 157595).

You're affected if you own one of the three item numbers above (157310, 157594, or 157595) AND both date codes fall within the recalled ranges. Check the label on the engine for a serial number with a month/year code of 0125 to 0825, then find the separate burner label (location depends on model) and confirm the week/year code is between 0125 and 2625. Both codes must match for the unit to be recalled.
