2025 Nissan Sentra Driveshaft Recall
2025 NISSAN SENTRA: POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT
Updated June 26, 2026
Nissan is recalling certain 2025 Sentra vehicles because the front left driveshaft may not be fully seated in the transmission, which can cause a sudden loss of drive power or allow the car to roll away if the parking brake is not applied. Both situations increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Is the Nissan North America, Inc. recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by NHTSA on June 26, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
2025 Nissan Sentra vehicles where the front left-side driveshaft may not be fully seated in the continuously variable transmission (CVT) assembly. Nissan's internal recall number is PMA68. Affected VINs became searchable at NHTSA.gov on June 30, 2026.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a 2025 Nissan Sentra. Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at NHTSA.gov (search was enabled June 30, 2026) or call Nissan at 1-800-867-7669 and reference recall number PMA68 to confirm whether your specific VIN is included.
What to do right now
Take your vehicle to a Nissan dealer for a free inspection. If the driveshaft is not fully seated, the dealer will replace the driveshaft and CVT assembly at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 5, 2026. You can also call Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall number PMA68) or look up your VIN at NHTSA.gov to confirm you're included. Until the inspection is done, always apply the parking brake when parked to reduce rollaway risk.

The hazard
An unexpected loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. In addition, a driveshaft that is not fully engaged can result in a vehicle rollaway if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
