Certain 2025 Nissan Altima, Sentra, and Frontier models, plus 2026 Nissan Kicks and Frontier vehicles, may have improperly welded door strikers that can break, causing the door to open while the vehicle is moving. This creates a serious risk of injury or crash.

What is recalled

2025 Nissan Altima, Sentra, and Frontier; 2026 Nissan Frontier and Kicks vehicles with improperly welded door strikers.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a 2025 Altima, Sentra, or Frontier, or a 2026 Frontier or Kicks. Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov starting January 28, 2026 to confirm if your vehicle is included. Nissan mailed owner notification letters on March 17, 2026.

What to do right now

Contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261 or visit a Nissan dealer to schedule a free replacement of the door strikers. Reference recall numbers PD185 or PMA61. Do not drive the vehicle if you notice the door is loose or won't stay shut while moving.
