Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain 2019 to 2026 models because a micro-switch in the driver's door lock can corrode and fail to detect an open door. When that happens, the electronic parking brake or "Auto-Park" feature may not engage automatically, and the vehicle can roll away on its own.

What to do right now
Take your vehicle to a Mercedes-Benz dealer for a free replacement of the driver's door lock. Dealer notification letters are expected to be mailed starting September 18, 2026.
