HappyGira Recalls Sweetie Baby and Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Suffocation and Fall Hazards; Violates Mandatory Standard for Infant Sleep Products

HappyGira has recalled its Sweetie Baby and Style Life Eleven baby loungers because they fail to meet the mandatory safety standard for infant sleep products. The loungers' sides are too short to keep a baby secure, the sleeping pad is too thick (creating a suffocation risk), and infants can fall out of or become trapped in the foot opening, all of which can cause serious injury or death.

What is recalled
Sweetie Baby-branded and Style Life Eleven-branded baby loungers sold by HappyGira. The loungers are made of a foam sleeping pad and padded bumpers with a cloth cover, and were sold in multiple styles and colors. Style Life Eleven loungers are rectangular and zip up into a branded bag. Sweetie Baby loungers are oval with the brand printed on a side tag.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a baby lounger with either the "Sweetie Baby" brand tag on the side of the lounger, or a rectangular "Style Life Eleven" branded lounger that zips into a bag. Both were sold in multiple styles and colors by HappyGira.
What to do right now
Stop using the lounger immediately, do not let any infant sleep or rest in it. To get a full refund, you must destroy the lounger first: remove the sleeping pad and bumper covers, then cut the bumpers, sleeping pad, and covers in half. Take a photo of the destroyed pieces and email it to support@happygira.com. Then dispose of the destroyed product. The hazard
The baby loungers violate the mandatory standard for infant sleep products because the sides are shorter than the minimum side height limit to secure the infant and they do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard. Additionally, an infant can fall out of the enclosed opening at the foot of the lounger or become entrapped. Furthermore, the sleeping pad's thickness exceeds the maximum limit, posing a suffocation hazard. These violations create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
