A faulty transmission valve body can cause Ford trucks and SUVs to move unexpectedly in reverse or neutral, increasing crash risk. Ford will replace the part free of charge.

What is recalled

Certain 2024 and 2025 Ford F-150, Bronco, Ranger, Mustang, Explorer, and Aviator vehicles with defective transmission valve body components.

You're affected if you own a 2024 Ford F-150, Bronco, Ranger, 2024 Aviator, or 2025 Ford Mustang, Explorer, and Aviator. Check your vehicle's model year and name against this list, then contact Ford with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to confirm.

What to do right now

Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or reference recall 25S19. A dealer will replace your transmission main control valve body for free. An owner notification letter was mailed April 11, 2025.
