Ford is recalling certain 2025 Explorer and Aviator vehicles because a faulty body control module can prevent trailer tail lights from illuminating when towing, reducing visibility to other drivers and increasing crash risk.

You are affected if you own a 2025 Ford Explorer or Aviator and tow a trailer. Check if you received a recall notification letter from Ford (Aviator owners on or around October 13, 2025; Explorer owners on or around November 25, 2025).
