Flaunt Recalls Magsafe Battery Chargers Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Fire and Burn Hazards

Flaunt is recalling its MagSafe Battery Charger power banks (model E33A) because the lithium-ion battery can overheat and catch fire, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burns.

What is recalled
Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger power banks, model number E33A. The word "FLAUNT" is engraved on the front right side and the back label reads "FLAUNT" and "Model: E33A". Sold in melon, black, lavender, and white. Measures 3 by 2 by 0.25 inches and weighs about 3.2 ounces. Retail price was $65.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a Flaunt power bank with "Model: E33A" printed on the back label. Check that the front also has "FLAUNT" engraved on the right side and a small circular button centered at the bottom. Affected units came in melon, black, lavender, and white.
What to do right now
Stop using the power bank immediately. Go to www.flauntcases.com/pages/recall to register. You'll need to submit two photos: one of the front of the unit with the word "Recalled", your initials, and the registration date written on it in permanent marker, and one showing the model number E33A on the back. You can choose a full refund of $65 by check or an $80 store credit at flauntcases.com. After registering, Flaunt will email disposal instructions. Do not throw the unit in the trash, curbside recycling, or standard used-battery drop boxes. Contact your local household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center for proper disposal.
