A2batt is recalling EEMB Lithium-ion Coin Battery Chargers with Rechargeable 2032 Batteries because young children can easily access the coin batteries included with the charger. If a child swallows a coin or button cell battery, it can cause internal chemical burns and death.

What is recalled
EEMB Lithium-ion Coin Battery Charger with Rechargeable 2032 Batteries, model SKLC-0420-0040. The kit includes the charger, four rechargeable CR2032 lithium-ion batteries, and a USB cable. "EEMB" appears on the front of the unit; "SKLC-0420-0040" is printed on the back.

What to do right now
Stop using the charger immediately. Remove the batteries and store them somewhere children cannot reach. Then contact A2batt for a full refund. You will be asked to write "RECALL" on the charger before returning it. If the batteries are still in their original packaging, do not use them. Instead, dispose of them following your local hazardous waste guidelines and email a photo of the disposal to info@a2batt.com. The hazard
The recalled battery chargers violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries, because the charger has lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children. In addition, the coin batteries provided with the battery charger are not in child-resistant packaging, and the packaging does not have the warnings, as required by Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
