Wichard Groupe North America has recalled Courant Spliced Kalimba climbing ropes because the spliced termination ends can fail without warning, causing a climber to fall. The hazard poses a risk of serious injury or death.

What is recalled
Courant Spliced Kalimba climbing ropes in the following part numbers and colors: MH730JZC045 (45m, lollipop), MH730JZC050 (50m, lollipop), MH730JZC060 (60m, lollipop), MH730MCC045 (45m, bubblegum), MH730MCC050 (50m, bubblegum), and MH730MCC060 (60m, bubblegum). The recall also covers any additional spliced Kalimba ropes spliced under Courant splicing protocols before June 15, 2026. These ropes are designed for tree climbing and pruning, commonly used by arborists. The brand name, part number, rope type (diameter), and length are listed on the tag attached to each rope end.
Am I affected
You are affected if you own a Courant Spliced Kalimba climbing rope with one of these part numbers on its end tag: MH730JZC045, MH730JZC050, MH730JZC060, MH730MCC045, MH730MCC050, or MH730MCC060. You are also affected if you own any spliced Kalimba rope spliced under Courant splicing protocols before June 15, 2026, even if the part number is not listed above.
What to do right now
Stop using the rope immediately. Visit wichardgroupe.us/news/post/recall-spliced-kalimba and complete the Product Recall Form to receive a pre-paid shipping label and return instructions. You will be offered a choice of two free replacement ropes: one available now and one available starting mid-September.
