The left and right B-Pillar reinforcement plates on certain 2025 BMW X1 models may be structurally weak and fail to protect passengers properly in a crash. BMW will replace the affected B-Pillars for free.

2025 BMW X1 xDrive28i and X1 M35i vehicles with left and right-side B-Pillar reinforcement plates manufactured with insufficient structural strength.

Contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 to schedule a free inspection and replacement of your B-Pillar. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 7, 2025.
